This topic is just what the Title implies - I am making this thread for ALL those that have a questionable website that they visit frequently. Questionable: 1. - means any website even trusted webistes that you go to on a regular basis that have let thier Certificate expire. 2. - also means new websites that are popular but are borderline on weather or not they have phising on thier site either inadvertly or knowingly put thier by the website adminstrator. 3. - many secure websites = Governmental = Social Security, DMV, some City, County and State Sites - even your School or Place of employment 4. - and of course the hacking websites and those that players go to for buying programs that allow them to use a macro on RS.
Every Single one of these can cause a Red Flag for Jagex from your computer while you are in game - thus allowing Jagex to think you have installed a 3rd party progam A Rule of thumb is to always run a securtiy scan if you question any website and do not open links in e-mail unless you know the website. Websites that you visit that you have never visited before can cause this issue. Also you should be performing disk clean up at least once a week and clearing cookies at least once a week. This can help elevate some of the problems that some players are running into w/ being banned from RS - weather it be temp. or perm. Also a very weak pass that can be guessed or even manipulated from a questionable website can cause Red Flags for Jagex.
Just want you all to know what can happen and I have seen happen. Secretwishes......

Okay VIA info from my tech sauvy friend - whom has spent 2 decades in the computer technology field - Porno sites are the worst of the offenders for gathering information, installling 3rd party software and phising. My firend said that basically the only way to completely get rid of them off history is not just deleting cookies = as that is a temp fix but to manual go into yoursystem and earse these websites one at a time. Trick is if you do not know what you are looking for you can perm delete OPS on your computer. Please be careful.

@ Secret: If any websites are actually installing stuff on your computer, and you need (or in the case of porn, want) to visit said sites, I suggest using a virtual machine, such as VirtualBox, or a LiveOS (running from a flash drive).

Stoopid CloudFare keeps blocking my ip because I am running TOR to get around the IP-Ban... Anyway, a good example of a LiveOS is TAILS, The Amnesic Incognito Live System. It's made by the same people who make TOR, and is very secure. It even has an optional feature that makes it look similar to a Windows XP machine if you don't like the way Linux machines look. Simply install it on a flash drive and boot from it. tails.boum.org/index.en.html
